Sri Lankan cricket team just thrashed Pakistani team with their exceptional performance in a Test match. But the Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal created a buzz on the internet with his statement that his team was able to perform well because of witchcraft.
The Sri Lankan cricketer after going back to Colombo told the reporter that anyone can have so much of talent but to move forward everyone needs the blessing.
"I am always ready to accept the blessings of anyone -- whether it is a meyni or any clergy," Chandimal told reporters after returning to Colombo.
"You can have talent, but without this blessing, you can't move forward," Dinesh Chandimal told the reporters.
Dinesh while talking about the two match series said that he had received the blessing of meyni, or sorcerer in the United States Emirates. His statement that 'I had

received a special blessing from a meyni, or sorcerer' is getting him slammed on the social media.
Most interesting thing about his statement is that it comes only a week after sports minister of Sri Lanka denied the allegation of ordering the national team of Sri Lanka to use witchcraft for winning the series.
Recently, the sports minister of Sri Lanka, Dayasiri Jayasekara had threatened to sue the sorcerer who had claimed that at the request of Dayasiri Jayasekara, she casted a witchcraft upon Pakistan team, that resulted in the win of Sri Lankan team.
There are also rumours on the Internet that so many Sri Lankan politicians, business leaders and sports stars believe in the witchcraft or astrology. It is even rumoured that Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse had taken the advice of his personal astrologer before calling the election.
