US Open Tennis: Former champion Daniil Medvedev beat Australian 13th seed Alex de Minaur 2-6 6-4 6-1 6-2

New York: In US Open Tennis, Former champion Daniil Medvedev beat Australian 13th seed Alex de Minaur 2-6 6-4 6-1 6-2. in a one-sided match. The third seed will face fellow Russian Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals.

Earlier defending champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and eighth seed Andrey Rublev of Russia have entered the Men's Singles quarterfinal. Alcaraz defeated Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 while Rublev beat Jack Draper of United Kingdom 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4  in pre-quarterfinal matches in New York tonight.

ninth seed Taylor Fritz while 10th seed Frances Tiafoe will meet Ben Shelton in an all-American clash. In Women's Singles, third seed Jessica Pegula lost to 17th seed Madison Keys 1-6, 3-6 in all-Ameican pre-quarterfinal tonight. 

Ninth seed Markéta Vondroušová of the Czech Republic entered the quarterfinal beating Peyton Stearns of the United States 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. In other Round of 16 matches, fifth seed Ons Jabeur of Tunisia lost to Chinese 23rd seed Qinwen Zheng 2-6, 4-6 while Belarusian Second seed Aryna Sabalenka is facing Russian 13th seed Daria Kasatkina.
