New Delhi, April 25: At a time when several India cricketers are taking 'break the beard challenge' to get rid of their long beards, their skipper Virat Kohli has decided not to do so.
Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are on a beard-shaving spree as they have decided to give up their rugged look.
But their charismatic leader, Kohli, has decided not to join them in getting clean-shaven look and the reason behind his decision could be his girl friend Anushka Sharma.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper on Sunday (April 23) took to his Instagram handle to reveal that he's in no mood to shave.
''Sorry boys @hardikpandya_official @royalnavghan @rohitsharma45 but I am not ready to break the beard yet. Great job on the makeovers though. Kudos,'
wrote Kohli after sharing an image in beard on Instagram.
Responding to Kohli's message for his team mates, his actor girl friend Anushka Sharma told him 'he cannot'.
The cricketer could do nothing but follow the advice of his lady luck and said 'okay'.
Here's how other cricketers took 'break the beard challenge':
Earlier this month, Kohli was joined by his girl friend in Bengaluru.
The two were snapped together in the garden city, which is the home to Kohli's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise RCB.
Anushka arrived in Bengaluru to give moral support to Kohli, who was recovering from a shoulder injury. Kohli injured his right shoulder while fielding against Australia during third Test match at Dharamsala.
