Women's Football World Cup: England finish as Group-D toppers

In the Women's Football World Cup being held in France, England have finished as Group-D toppers, while Scotland have been knocked out. 

In the Pool's final matches last night, while England defeated Japan, two-nil, Scotland played out a three-three draw with Argentina. England and Japan progressed to the Round-of-16 from Group-D, while Argentina and Scotland were



eliminated.

Final round of Group-E and Group-F matches will be played today. In Pool-E, Cameroon will face New Zealand at Montpellier, while the Netherlands will take on Canada at Reims.

In Group-F, defending champions US will play Sweden at Le Havre, while Thailand will meet Chile at Rennes.

The Round-of-16 matches or the knock-outs begin on Saturday.
