In the Women’s Hockey India League (HIL), Odisha Warriors defeated Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers 4-1 at Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, last night. Michelle Fillet, Yibbi Jansen and Neha Goyal scored for the Odisha Warriors while Udita scored for the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers. The Warriors now top the points table with eight points. The teams had previously drawn 1-1 in Ranchi, where Odisha triumphed in a penalty shootout. This time, a decisive win eliminated the need for shootouts.

The Vedanta Kalinga Lancers staged an extraordinary comeback to edge past the Delhi SG Pipers 3-2 in a shootout at the Birsa Munda Stadium in Rourkela last night. Trailing 1-4 at halftime, the Lancers rallied with goals from Alexander Hendrickx, Thierry Brinkman, and Angad Bir Singh, forcing the match into a shootout, where they sealed their victory. Despite efforts from Tomas Domene, Corey Weyer, Koji Yamasaki, and Dilraj Singh, the SG Pipers are still searching for their first win of the season.
