Women's Hockey: Australia defeats India 4-2 in first of five-match series

Adelaide: In Women's Hockey, Australia defeated India 4-2 at Mate Stadium in Adelaide, Australia last evening. This is the first game of the five-match series. The next match is scheduled for 20th of this month (Saturday).

 

The tour is part of the Indian team's preparations for the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games 2023, which will take place in September-October this



year.

The team led by ace goalkeeper Savita and Vice Captained by Deep Grace Ekka will play in the first three games of the series followed by two matches against Australia A.

 

The Australian Women's Hockey Team is currently ranked third in the world, while the Indian team is ranked eighth.
