Nairobi: The mixed relay team of India won a Bronze medal in 4*400 metre at the U20 World Championships being held in Nairobi with taking time of 3:20.60, a season best.

Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has congratulated Abdul Razak Rasheed, Priya Mohan, Summy and Kapil on winning bronze medal in 4x400m mixed relay event at the Junior World Championships. In a tweet, Mr Thakur encouraged the young champs to the keep up the winning pace.
The 2021 edition of the World Athletics U20 Championships will continue till 22



August at the Nyayo Sports Complex  .

The Indian squad left for the Kenyan capital late on Saturday evening, as per the Athletics Federation of India.

India have had a champion at the U20 Athletics World Championships in each of the last two editions. Neeraj Chopra threw the javelin longer than any man in his age group in 2016 for his first major international breakthrough while Hima Das clinched gold medal in the women’s 400m in Tampere in 2018.
