The World University Shooting Championship will kick off at the Dr Karni Singh Range in New Delhi today.
The competition will begin with the air pistol events, where Asian Games gold medalist Palak Gulia will be in action. Sainyam and Arshdeep Kaur will be the other Indians competing in the women’s air pistol event. The men’s air pistol
team will feature Aakash Bhardwaj, Amit Sharma, and Samrat Rana.
India will field full-strength three-member teams in all 15 Olympic events, including pistol, rifle, and shotgun. A total of 22 countries are participating in the championship. In the last edition, the Indian contingent won eight gold, four silver, and two bronze medals.
