India's Sajan Bhanwal has advanced to the finals of 77 kg Greco-Roman event in the Junior World Wrestling Championship at Trnava, Slovakia. Sajan defeated Dmytro Gardubei from Ukraine in the semifinals to enter the summit clash. With this progress, the Haryana wrestler Sajan has assured himself of at least a silver
medal.
He will now take on Russia's Islam Opiev in the gold medal match. Two other Indians -- Vijay and Sagar had also entered the semifinals in the 55kg and 63kg categories respectively. However, they could not make it to the finals and would play for bronze in their respective categories.
