Yogesh Kathuniya clinched Silver medal in Men's Discus Throw after registering his season-best attempt of 44.38 metre.

While Devendra Jhajharia won Silver medal, Sundar Singh Gurjar bagged Bronze in the men's Javelin Throw.

Devendra Jhajharia grabbed Silver with a personal best throw of 64.35. This was also his third medal at Paralympic Games. Sundar captured bronze with a season-best throw of 62.58.

Vinod Kumar wins Bronze medal with a best effort of 19.91 meter in Men's Discus Throw F52 event. Vinod Kumar also broke the Asian Record with the effort. India has won three medals so far.

President Ram Nath Kovind has congratulated Vinod Kumar for winning Bronze medal at Paralympics. In a tweet, Mr Kovind said that Vinod Kumar has done India proud with his podium finish. The President appreciated his grit and determination and wished him scale greater heights of



success.

Congratulating Vinod Kumar for winning a Bronze medal at Men's Discus Throw F52 event at a Tokyo Paralympics, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said that the nation is elated at his win. The Vice President said, this National Sports Day has become all the more special with phenomenal display by the county's athletes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Vinod Kumar for winning bronze medal. In a tweet, Mr Modi said that India is rejoicing thanks to Vinod Kumar’s stupendous performance. He said, the hard work and determination of Vinod Kumar is yielding outstanding results.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has congratulated Vinod Kumar for winning Bronze medal in Discus Throw at Tokyo Paralympics. In a tweet, Mr Thakur said, India has won it’s 3rd Medal at Tokyo Paralympics and this is turning out to be an epic on this National Sports Day.
