The 58th Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Delhi Fair has been inaugurated yesterday at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The fair is organized twice a year, in Spring and Autumn editions, by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts. The aim of this fair is to connect international buyers to Indigenous design professionals and wholesalers.

The five-day mega-fair showcases 2000 product lines and more than 300 trends across 14 distinct product categories such as housewares, tableware, furnishings,  lighting, and festive decorations among others. The fair offers a comprehensive exhibition of innovative concepts and products in 16 halls and 900 permanent showrooms at the India Expo Centre & Mart. Further, the fair fosters a business-to-business trade

among indigenous manufacturers and wholesalers, and foreign buyers.

Elena Veruchi, an exhibitor, highlighted the on-ground visibility of products through the fair. She said that the exhibition fosters the physical feel of products, providing buyers with a better experience.

Another exhibitor named Leela Bordia, from Rajasthan, also shared her experiences on how the exhibition has helped her gain buyers for her products over the years. She added that the fair has helped her in connecting directly with the buyers.

The fair offers free To and Fro Shuttle bus service from various hotels in New Delhi. It is open from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening. The Autumn edition of this fair will end on the 20th of this month.
