Palakkad: In a tragic incident, a youngster died in Ottappalam of Kerala's Palakkad district after his two-wheeler rammed into a cow. The 22-year-old youth landed on the bovine's horn and was fatally injuried, local media reports said.
Panamanna native Krishna Prajith's bike collided with a cow around 7:30 PM on Saturday, Reporter Live said in a report. The bovine was following a cattleman on the Veetambara-Panamanna road when it got hit by the vehicle. Krishna Prajith lost control of his bike due to the impact of the collision and landed on the cow's horn, the report said. He was declared dead at a private hospital in Kanniyampuram where he was taken to by the
onlookers.
The victim's chest was pierced by the cow's horn, which reportedly caused his death. The cow didn't survive the collision either, the news reports said.
In September, a 35-year-old man died after the scooter he was riding hit a wild boar that was crossing a road near the Sirumugai area of Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district.
The victim Kanagaraj was returning home after work on his scooter around 11 PM when his vehicle collided with the wild boar. The incident happened on a road near Idugadumedu while the animal was crossing the road. In the force of the collision, Kanagaraj was thrown off the scooter and suffered severe head injuries.
