When it comes to online shopping, we all have been fooled by offers that seem appealing. This is exactly what happened with a woman who thought that she bought a fancy velvet chair online.
Mariam, from New York, took to TikTok to share that she bought a dreamy velvet armchair while browsing - and it had free shipping. However, when the item was delivered to her, she was shocked.
Mariam showed a deep navy blue velvet chair with ornate gold detailing around the back, arms and legs. The chair appears to be big enough to let a person sit in it.
However, when Mariam received the chair, it turned out to be a miniature version of what was advertised. It was possibly made as a furniture item for a doll house.
This is why I cant buy stuff... wait for it. Moral of the
story, make sure everything you order is returnable, Mariam captioned the post. Marian said that it wasnt cheap. The shopping fail has gone viral on social media, leaving netizens baffled. One user said, I was not expecting . Another wrote, Why I have trust issues of ordering online. A third user added, The real question is how much did it cost? Yet another added, Does nobody read reviews? OMG noooooo. Last year, a Kerala man who ordered an Apple iPhone 12 was shocked when he received a dishwash bar and a Rs 5 coin in the package. He filed a complaint with the Cyber Police Station and a case was registered. The police started the investigation using the IMEI number on the phone cover. They found that the phone that the man was supposed to get was being used by someone in Jharkhand. The man received a refund of the amount he had paid.
