Sahitya Akademi organises 8-day Book Fair in New Delhi

New Delhi: Sahitya Akademi has organised an 8-day Book Fair at Rabindra Bhavan in New Delhi. The book fair will run till 18th November. The theme of the event is 'Bal Sahitya'. During the book fair, the Akademi will organise several literary activities like book releases, book discussions, children's literature, symposiums, cartoon making and creative writing competitions for children.

30 eminent writers who write for children will attend



various literary activities during the fair. Former MP from Madhya Pradesh, Satyanarayan Jatiya described it as a great initiative by the Culture Ministry. He said it will give children an opportunity to learn creatively. It will not only enhance their knowledge but also make them aware about literature. Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Srinivasan, Secretary Sahitya Akademi said it will encourage people to read more books.
