Social media platform Twitter has said that it will be more transparent towards enforcement action on hateful tweets. As a first step, one will start to see labels on some Tweets identified as potentially violating rules.
These labels will help identify that Twitter has limited visibility of such tweets. This will not affect the freedom of speech, rather such tweets that violate
Twitter policies will become less visible by implementing limitations to reach such tweets.
Twitter said it will continue to remove illegal content and suspend bad actors from the platform and is committed to increasing transparency. It further informed that these actions will be taken at a tweet level only, and will not affect a user’s account
