In the past few days, KT Rama Rao, the
TRS point man for the civic polls, has reached out to the Raju Kshatriyas and
the Bengalis in the city. In the next few days to come, the TRS has plans to
have huddles with Brahmins, Christians, Marathas, Rajasthanis, Malayalees,
Tamilians and Kannadigas who together account for a formidable chunk of over 15
per cent of the total electorate in the city. There was a misinformation
campaign against the TRS that it will guide in prejudiced Rule if Telangana is
formed and we come to power. The Brahmin community primarily has roots in
Andhra Pradesh and North India The Bengali community, which Rama Raoon Sunday KTR
has assured us to meet our demands including land required for the old age home
and educational institutions," said Joy Kumar Datta, joint secretary of
Hyderabad Bengali Samiti, the oldest association of the community in the twin
cities. The TRS hopes to find support from the community which has significant
numbers in Charminar, Alwal, Sainikpuri and are spread across Secunderabad and
the IT corridor in Gachibowli and Madhapur.

Rao on Monday said I WILL QUIT IF TRS LOSES GHMC POLLS: KTR he would resign
from his ministerial post if the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) fails to win
the GHMC council polls. KTR, who is leading the TRS campaign, said he would
take responsibility of the outcome of the civic polls slated for February 2.
"I am confident that the TRS will win 100 seats in the 150-member GHMC
council. The mayor will be our candidate, and the pink flag will fly high on
the GHMC failing which I will step down," KTR said during a meet the press
programme
