During the Ganesh festival celebrations and immersion procession, the Hyderabad SHE Team caught 488 individuals red-handed while they were harassing women. Each case was backed up with CCTV footage the SHE teams said in a statement on Thursday.
Among the arrested were government and private sector employees, students and rickshaw drivers.
Out the 488 cases, 122 resulted in petty convictions, the accused receiving sentences ranging from three to six days in jail. In 111 cases, the accused were let off with warnings and counseling. Another 255 cases were awaiting court proceedings, the statement said.

Vishwanath said 83 persons — 51 of them minors — found harassing women had been apprehended over the past fortnight. The Women's Safety Wing (WSW) She Teams counseled the accused on Thursday at the LB Nagar camp office
She said She Teams had been deployed on various places including bus stands, railway and Metro Rail stations, schools and colleges and public places in plainclothes.
The DCP said the She Teams had received 76 complaints from August 16 till September 30. Among those arrested was a watchman who recorded a woman bathing in her apartment washroom and a man who slapped an intermediate student on her way to college.
