Finance minister T. Harish Rao on Tuesday said that if the Congress came to power, Bangaluru would become the "second high command" to monitor the Telangana Congress.
The minister, who participated in several programmes in Sangareddy, also discussed the six guarantees of Congress made at the Vijayabheri meeting in Tukkuguda.
"The Congress only provides Rs 600 pension to old people in Karnataka. If Congress comes to power, all the schemes which are introduced and implemented by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will vanish," he said.
Taking another dig, Harish Rao said that Congress MLAs will go to Delhi to meet their high command via Bengaluru, as it would be from there that the party leaders indulge in Telangana state Congress activities.
Speaking during the inauguration of a minority function hall in Sangareddy, where several Congress leaders also joined the BRS in Harish Rao’s presence, he said that new districts, mandals, and villages were demarcated by the government as Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao wanted to
bring governance closer to the people in Telangana state.
Harish Rao said that the Chief Minister sought to decentralise governance by forming new districts, mandals and villages. "Following the decentralisation decision, the Narayankhed is transformed into a developing place having a revenue division, new mandals. We have made 100 new gram panchayats, forming a total of 223 gram panchayats.
The credit of increasing the number of revenue divisions from 43 to 74, the number of mandals from 459 to 612 and the number of gram panchayats to 12,769 goes to the Chief Minister," Harish Rao said.
"When Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy was chief minister, he promised free power supply, but nothing was done. The ruling BRS government provides round-the-clock free power supply for farmers and 24 hours power supply to other sectors without interruption. The Congress leaders are propagating falsehoods and lies. The Chief Minister also undertook Mission Bhagiratha project to provide water to every house in the state," Harish Rao said
