HYDERABAD:A 26-year-old research associate at Indian School of Business, Chaitanya Bayanwala of West Bengal, died in suspicious conditions on Saturday night. He fell down from the ninth floor of his residential apartment building at Gachibowli.
According to the Gachibowli police, on February 25, Swapnil, another research associate at ISB, along with his friend Piyush, went out to buy some items, leaving Chaitanya (26) alone in the flat in the Hill Ridge Springs gated community.

At around 10 pm, when they returned home from shopping and were parking their bike, one of the neighbours, Natasha, informed them that their roommate had fallen on the ground.

Swapnil and Piyush rushed to the 12th Block only to see their friend Chaitanya lying in a pool of

blood. They immediately took him to Care Hospital at Gachibowli where doctors declared him brought dead, said the police.

“The trio were living in a rented flat on the ninth floor of the building. It appears that Chaitanya might have fallen down accidentally from the balcony of the flat,” said the Gachibowli police.

Chaitanya, a native to Siliguri in West Bengal, graduated in engineering from IIT-Kharagpur in 2014 and joined the ISB as a research associate in 2016.

The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination, after which it would be handed over to his parents, police said.
Basing on a complaint lodged by Swapnil, police registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC (suspicious death).
