TS Govt plans to set up steel plant, says KTR

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday responded to the questions in the Telangana Assembly over the large-scale employment.

Replying to question raised by an MLA Kanakiah, KTR said that the government is striving to establish a Steel Plant and large-scale employment will



become possible if the government establishes a million metric tonne capacity steel plant.

Stating that the plans are on to set up three metric tonne capacity steel plant, he said that it would provide employment to 6,000 people directly and another 12,000 persons indirectly in tribal areas.
