Hyderabad: Health Minister Dr.Lakshma Reddy said that the works on construction of four new multi specialty hospitals around Hyderabad would begin soon.

Replying to a question raised by MLA K.P. Vivekananda and others during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly on Friday, the minister said that the government has decided to establish new Multi Specialty Hospitals with MCH Centre located in the places surrounding the Hyderabad (500 bedded Multi Specialty + 250 bedded MCH).

These hospitals will be set up at



Victoria Memorial Home in L.B. Nagar, Mylardevpally/ Rajendernagar, Besides Pet Basheerabad Police Station and besides Miyapur Bus Terminal. He said Detailed Project Reports for these hospitals was under preparation.

He said that the hospitals would be construction by taking loans from nationalised banks. He said that the foundation stone for the new hospitals would be laid soon.

Replying to other related queries, the minister said steps were being taken to upgrade the existing hospitals in the city.
