105 lakes overflowing in GHMC limits

105 lakes in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits have reached their full tank levels and are ready to flow. According to GHMC officials, 105 city lakes have reached their full tank levels and remaining lakes are 75 per cent full. Due to the rampant encroachments of



nalas and lakesin the low-lying areas, the suburbs will be submerged if rain continues for one more day. 

Officials also claimed that 30 per cent to 40 per cent of the lakes have been encroached resisting the tank capacity.
