Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Mohd Mahmood Ali inaugurated 120 double-bedroom houses constructed at a cost of 10 crores at Muralidhar Bagh in Goshamahal constituency here on Friday. Speaking after the inaugural, he said the 2BHK were being built for the poor who can live with self-respect.
Yadav said that Telangana was the only state paying out 2,000 per pension person. He pointed out that the state government was providing financial assistance for the marriage of girls. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had introduced
many welfare programs for the poor, he said.
Mahmood Ali said that no government had given 2BHKs houses in the past, and Chandrashekar Rao was the only one doing so. "We are giving safe drinking water to every house. Welfare schemes are being implemented in Telangana unlike anywhere else in the country."
He said the Chief Minister was developing the Old City. The government was preserving the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb of communal harmony, Mahmood Ali said.
