Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, who holds education portfolio, on Monday said the State government would recruit eligible candidates to fill 15,000 teacher posts in the State in a phased manner in the coming days.As part of KCR’s ambitious efforts to provide free education to all students from KG to PG in rural areas, the state had decided to set up 464 residential schools across TS, he added.
“Of them, 119 BC residential schools will be set up in all the 119 Assembly segments. 90 residential schools will be set up exclusively for
minorities. Government has decided to spend `20 crore on each school to establish infrastructure,” Srihari said while kick-staring State level ‘Inspire Exhibition and Project Competition, 2016’ at St Theresa Girls’ High School here.
According to the deputy CM, as many as 15,000 teachers are required for these proposed schools. Hence, Telangana State Public Service Commission would the process of recruiting eligible candidates for the posts before June. ‘Digital classes’ will start in these schools from Nov 14, he added.
