Eleven years after the massive road project was unveiled, the entire 158-km ORR will be available for the use of commuters once municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao inaugurates the Kandlakoya interchange junction on April 24. The 1.1-km long Kandlakoya junction near Medchal could not be completed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority in the last 10 years owing to legal
wrangles.
An administrative building, canopy for collection of toll fee and other facilities at inter-change junction with two entry and two exit points are in place even as officials are racing ahead to give final touches at the junction. HMDA metropolitan commissioner T Chiranjeevulu took stock of the works on Wednesday.
