Seventeen students from Telangana, who were stranded in war-torn Sudan, landed at Palam Air Force Station in New Delhi on Friday. As part of the ongoing Operation Kaveri, the Telangana natives landed at 4 pm. Dr Gaurav Uppal, resident commissioner, Telangana Bhavan, received them at the Air Force Station.

They have been taken to the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi before being flown down to Hyderabad, all of which will be taken care of by the state government, an



official statement said.

Meanwhile, 14 other Telugus from Sudan reached Mumbai late Thursday night on a flight via Jeddah.

According to reports, Warangal collector B Gopi, who is part of the team coordinating the evacuee operations for the Telangana government, all the 14 persons were from Hyderabad. While five of them reached the city by Friday noon, nine others are scheduled to reach late Friday night
