Today 18 industries have been issued approvals and the biggest among them is Cognizant Tech Services Pvt Ltd which will invest Rs 655 crore and create employment for some 8500 personnel. ITC, Sify, HSIL, Winsol, Chemo India, Atlas Copco, Surana, Earth Solar are some of the other industries. These are coming up in Medak, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Karimnagar and Khammam districts. The total investment will be around Rs 2,167.47 crore and will create employment opportunities for 13,817 people. The Total investments so far under the TS iPASS is Rs 33101 crore and employment for 1,20,169. The approved companies include Software Development, Solar, Pharmaceuticals, Pastic Pipes, Granites and Seed Processing units.

industrialists, who came to accept their certificates and while interacting
with them, Jupally asked them to give their opinion on the new industrial
policy. Almost all the industrialists, who came said they are happy, satisfied
and appreciated the way the department was working and that they got the
clearances within the specified time.
Speaking on the occasion, one industrialist informed that they had initially wanted to set up a plant in Goa, but shifted to Telangana on account of the single window system and the time limit. They appreciated the effort of the CM’s Office for following-up their applications.
