A two-day conference
of State-level Administrative Training Institutes (ATIs) was launched here at
Dr Marri Channa Reddy HRD Institute on Friday. A large number of
Directors-General and senior officials of ATIs from different States have
turned up for the conference.

Director General, Dr MCR HRD Institute & EO Special Chief Secretary to
Government of Telangana, in his inaugural address said, “In the context of
ever-changing political, social, and economic landscape and rising expectations
of people for inclusive development, the role of imparting training to
government employees in enhancing their efficiency,
sensitivity and responsive
behavior has assumed much greater importance.”
He also stated that the ATIs in different States have been conceptualising and executing a number of innovative interventions and, therefore, it is the pressing need of the hour to interact, on a continuous basis, and learn from each other’s experience so as to ensure that the nature and quality of training for Government employees improves in the entire country. He added that the deliberations at the conference and its recommendations will be greatly instrumental in giving a big boost to training and in achieving the cherished goals of all the ATIs.
