2 killed, 7 hurt as car hits tipper at Srisailam Highway

Two persons died, and seven others sustained injuries in an accident involving Innova and a tipper at Srisailam Highway on Saturday.

According to police, the deceased were identified as Md Feroz, 25, a resident of Madannapet and Syed Sameer, 24, a resident of Old Malakpet. All the nine youngsters were on their way to Srisailam to celebrate birthday of one of their



friends. 

During the wee hours of Saturday, the speeding vehicle was crossing a hamlet near Maisigandi temple, at Kadthal and rammed into a slow-moving tipper. Even as two died on spot, the locals struggled to remove the injured from the damaged vehicle. The remaining seven persons were shifted to different hospitals in the city, including Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
