Telangana power utilities on Tuesday sent electrical equipment and material to the flood-ravaged Kerala. Energy minister G Jagadish Reddy and TSGenco chairman and managing director D Prabhakar Rao flagged off 17 trucks carrying the equipment. The energy department is sending electric poles, 20,000 single-phase meters and 100 three-phase distribution meters costing Rs.2.5 crore to



Thrissur district.

Employees of TSTransco, Genco and power distribution companies had earlier donated one-day salary of Rs 9 crore to the Kerala chief minister’s relief fund. Chairmen of southern and northern discoms — G Raghuma Reddy and A Gopala Rao — and TSSPDCL dierctors T Srinivas and J Srinivas Reddy were present.
