The Munugode bypoll on November 3 is a crucial bypoll for Bharatiya Janata Party and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the run-up to the Telangana assembly elections scheduled to be held before December 2023. Munugode is one of the 12 constituencies in Telangana’s Nalgonda district.

Polling will begin from 7 am and go on till 6 pm on Thursday in the assembly constituency and counting of votes

will be taken up on November 6.

The Munugode bypoll is a prestige battle for both the BJP and the ruling TRS. The BJP is trying to capture Telangana by going hyper-local whereas, contrastingly, TRS supremo KCR is chasing his national dreams of a non-BJP, non-Congress central government or at least, an opposition.

The quest to fulfil these agendas begins at Munugode on Thursday.
