2.25 lakh people take metro ride on New Year in Hyderabad

The metro patronage on New Year day made a record with 2.25 lakh people taking the ride for the first time, said HMRS managing director NVS Reddy adding that extending the timings on December 31 till 12.30 also aided in making the record.

stations like Ameerpet, Miyapur, LB Nagar, KPHB, JNTU and Uppal witnessed heavy footfall from 5 pm to 10.30 pm on Monday. Among these, the highest patronage was recorded in Ameerpet with 36,000 passengers, said Reddy.
