Police commissioner M Mahender Reddy on Wednesday along with GHMC commissioner B Janardhan Reddy conducted a joint inspection of the final day immersion route from Charminar to Balapur in Barkas.

In order to conduct the two festivals in a peaceful manner, the city police chief reviewed security arrangements being made for Bakrid which falls on September 2 and the final day of immersion on i.e.September 5th. As many as 24,000 policemen including paramilitary forces are being deployed for the final day of Ganesh immersions.

interacted with the concerned zonal commissioner and other civic officials.He said officials to make necessary arrangements for quickly lifting animal waste and carcass dumped near dustbins.

The two commissioners have jointly inspected the immersion route from Charminar to Balapur. As many as 12,000 CCTV cameras are being installed in the city . Senior police officials will be monitoring the final day of Ganesh immersion procession from city command and control. Police have successfully started used geo-tagging technology at Ganesh mandaps.
