About 2500 policemen will be deployed, including 329 traffic cops, and 100 CCTV cameras will be installed inside the stadium and in different areas leading to it.
A road clearance party will ensure a congestion-free entry and exit for players, VIPs and VVIPs at the stadium. Parking arrangements for spectators will also be in place, a media communiqué said.A separate vendor-supervising team is being established to control activities of vendors. A separate SHE team will also be functional till the matches end on May 19.
Heavy goods vehicles coming from ECIL,
Kushaiguda and Cherlapally towards Uppal X road will be diverted for thr duration of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, as police security will be beefed up in and around Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal. The stadium will host seven IPL matches this year beginning from April 9.
Laptops, cameras, helmets, sharp objects and inflammable materials will be prohibited. Metro will services run till 1am for spectators. About eight ambulances and five fire tenders will also be in the stadium on the days of the matches.
