A total of 2,52,097 individuals above the age of 60 years and those between 45 years and 59 years of age with comorbid conditions have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in Telangana, health officials here said on Tuesday.
Since the launch of the special Covid-19 vaccination drive for priority age groups on March 1, out of the 2,52,097 individuals, 1,86,389 were senior citizens while the rest 65,708 beneficiaries were aged between 45 years and 59 years with comorbid conditions.
Along with the priority age groups, the health department has continued to offer Covid-19 vaccines to healthcare and frontline
workers in Telangana. So far, the since the launch of Covid vaccination drive, 2,09,624 healthcare workers and 1,03,560 frontline workers have received the first dose of Covid vaccine in the State.
According to the Covid-19 vaccination bulletin, the cumulative number of beneficiaries including healthcare and frontline workers, senior citizens and those between the age group of 45 years and 59 years with pre-existing medical conditions who have received the first dose of Covid vaccine, is 5,65,281 individuals. The overall number of individuals who got the two doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far are 2,26,028.
