26,000 posts in Police Department will be filled soon: Anurag Sharma

Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma today announced that his department will fill 26,000 vacant posts soon.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating the One Town Police Station building worth Rs.4.5crore at Godavari Khani here on Wednesday, Anurag Sharma said that the department was taking steps to see that there should be 33 percent women police in every police station. The Police department was striving for peaceful environment across the



State after the formation of Telangana State.

The DGP said new buildings will be constructed in place of dilapidated police station buildings. The Police department has set up friendly policing to see that there should not be fear among the people while seeing police.

Police Housing Corporation chairman Damodar, TSRTC Chairman Somarapu Sathyaranarayana, MLCs Naradasu Laxman Rao and Banuprasad were present.
