Hyderabad Commissioner of Police C.V. Anand on Saturday inaugurated 264 CCTVs covering the KBR National Park and other key localities in the West Zone area under the city police. The project was taken up by the West Zone police in partnership with the proactive community members and completed at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore.
Altogether 153 of the new cameras are strategically placed around the KBR Park, while the remaining 111 cameras have been installed at key hotspots in Road Nos. 36 and 45 of the Jubilee Hills and the busy checkpost area.
"This
comprehensive network provides extensive coverage, bolstering the surveillance capabilities of the police," said Anand.
Highlighting the role of CCTVs in the swift detection of cases, he commended the public for their significant contributions and active involvement over the past decade.
