In three separate incidents, three persons died after they accidentally consumed acid used for cleaning kitchens.
Merak Saba, 25, who had consumed acid assuming it to be drinking water on June 14 died while at the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) on Thursday. Police said she was cleaning the kitchen when the incident occurred. On feeling a burning sensation, she called for help and was rushed to the Osmania General
Hospital.
In a separate incident, P. Dayanand, 52, consumed acid on June 15 in an inebriated condition at his house in Reddy Enclave, Badangpet. He mistook it for water. He also died at the Osmania General Hospital on Thursday.
In another case, 22-year-old P. Ravi Naik died at the OGH on Thursday. He had accidentally mixed acid with liquor at his house in Nandamallaguda, Bahadurpura, on June 18.
