35,000 vacancies in various govt departments to be filled soon, says CM Revanth Reddy

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a recruitment drive and launched a new skill training programme aimed at addressing unemployment in Telangana.

Speaking at the launch of the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) skill training programme, he outlined the government’s plans to fill more vacancies in various departments over the next few months.

The State government has already issued notifications to fill 35,000 vacancies in various government departments. An additional 35,000 vacancies will be filled in the next two to three months.

Despite these efforts, Reddy acknowledged that the problem of unemployment would persist, as over three lakh students graduate from professional institutions each year.

The BFSI skill training programme aims to



equip students with the necessary skills for jobs in the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors.

It is designed to ensure that students can secure employment immediately after completing their training. The government has collaborated with industry experts to develop an action plan based on proposals submitted by the BFSI sector.

This initiative is expected to create a skilled work force tailored to industry needs.

Revanth Reddy also announced plans to upgrade 65 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Advanced Technology Centers in collaboration with Tata Technologies over the next two years.

The focus will also be on strengthening engineering colleges. Institutions that fail to maintain minimum educational standards will have their permissions revoked.
