Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, on Tuesday, said as many as 317 children were rescued under Rachakonda Commissonerate limits as part of Operation Muskaan held in July.
Nearly 50 children employed to execute different labour works were rescued from a Spinning Mill, Choutuppal of Yadadri Bhongir Zone.In another case, 16 boys were rescued in Vanasthalipuram of L B Nagar Zone and most of them were from the Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.
He said a total of 251 children including three girls who were unlawfully employed to work in various shops too were rescued.
He said
all the employers in Rachakonda Police Commissonerate limits were warned not to engage any children in labour work.
“For repatriation of children from Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh, efforts are on in coordination with above State governments concerned,” he added.
