During the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday in Telangana, 39,24,107 cases were amicably settled as the litigants involved reached agreements.
S. Goverdhan Reddy, member secretary of the Telangana State Legal Services Authority, reported the resolution of 32,65,220 pre-litigation cases and 6,58,887 pending cases of various categories across the state.
At the Telangana High Court, Justice J. Sreenivas Rao and former judge
Justice G. Sri Devi presided over Lok Adalat Benches, successfully settling 285 cases, including civil revision
petitions and writ petitions related to services and other matters. M. Santhi Vardhan, secretary of the High Court Legal Services Committee, disclosed that approximately Rs 16 crore were ordered for compensation, benefiting around 1,100 people in various cases, including accident claim cases.

Service Authority, inaugurated and distributed the compensation amount to the beneficiaries during the Lok Adalat held at the Medchal-Malkajgiri District Court complex.
