Around 4.5 lakh people are using Metro Rail smart cards because of a 10 per cent discount that it offers to passengers, said L&T HMRL managing director K.V.B. Reddy.
Unveiling the HMR’s first anniversary logo, Mr Reddy travelled along with children from the Aadarana orphan home from Nagole to Mettuguda.
L&THMRL has lined up various events to celebrate the first anniversary with a slogan and painting competitions, pin your thoughts, and lucky draw on Thursday.
Ferrying 3.2 crore passengers over 364 days, Metro Rail trains have traversed 27,15,809 train
kilometres and completed 1,71,361 trips.
“Hyderabad Metro Rail has made a significant impact on the commuting behaviour of the people in Hyderabad. This has been possible with all the hard work, support and collaboration of all our employees, partners, stakeholders, mediafriends and contractors,” he said.
