45.7 per cent of over 74 lakh electors exercise their franchise in GHMC polls

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation polling was incident free and a total of 45.7 per cent of over 74 lakh electors exercised their franchise, the State Election Commission announced this last evening. 

The Commission ordered for re-polling tomorrow in the Old Malakpet Division following printing mistakes appearing on



the ballot paper.

 

Total 1122 candidates are in the fray for the 150-division civic body of Hyderabad Corporation. The counting of Votes will take place on Friday. This time, the post of the Mayor of the city is reserved for Woman candidates in the general category.
