5-year-old boy drowns in sump at Kalikhabar

A five-year-old boy drowned in a water sump at Kalikhabar in the old city on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the police, the boy, Mohd Farhan Ali, a resident of Kalikhabar was playing outside his house and went into the nearby building from where the Sub Registrar Office Charminar



functions.

“He fell into the water sump. On spotting him, a few local persons pulled him out and shifted him to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” said Laxminarayana, Sub-inspector, Mir Chowk.

The police have booked a case and are investigating.
