Hyderabad: Within forty-eight hours of being kidnapped, the Saidabad police officials were able to rescue a boy who was five years old.
On Monday, 20-year-old mother Pradha Laxmi filed a complaint claiming that her son had vanished from Champapet.
Police say that Kadamanchi Pandu, 28, a Nalgonda native, kidnapped the boy Ram Charan when he found him wandering near a Champapet wine shop.
In order to locate the accused, the police formed four teams and began reviewing CCTV footage from
intersections located between Champapet and Vanasthalipuram.
Based on the footage, it was determined that the suspect selected the boy from Raghavendra Wines in Champapet.
After that, a group of policemen rushed to Thukkugguda, where they met Yadamma, who told them that Pandu had gone to Vanasthalipuram.
The accused was apprehended from Vanshthanlipuram following the lead, and he was sentenced under section 363 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with punishment for kidnapping.
