50 lakh saplings planted : GHMC

The GHMC claims of planting as many as 50 lakh saplings as part of the Haritha Haram programme.The corporation planted saplings at both government and privately owned spaces and said that 90% of these



have survived.Around 38,000 have been planted in open spaces, 22,000 have been planted in avenues and 12,000 around lakes.As many as 302 teams with 8,612 `brigadiers' were formed.
