52 persons to be feted on Telangana Formation Day

The state government will felicitate 52 persons on the Telangana formation day on June 2 in recognition of their services in their fields.

Prominent among them are Dr Bheerappa Nagari who is a well-known gastroenterologist at NIMS and Dr Srivari Chandrasekhar director CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Technology.

Disclosing this at a press conference on Wednesday, Minister for Tourism and Culture A Chandulal said that the



awards were announced in recognition to their achievements and services in their respective fields. 

The other fields for which awards were announced include classical dance, law, medicine, journalism, sports, arts and crafts, literature, folklore, best employees, best panchayat raj institution and best municipality. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 1,00,116, a shawl, certificate and a memento.
