An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude hit Mulugu region, Telangana at 7.27 am on Wednesday, according to a report from National Centre for Seismology.
According to the report from the Centre, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 40 kilometers and the seismic activity has been classified as moderate
earthquake.
The earthquakes are classified as moderate when the magnitude varies between 5.0 and 6.9 on the Richter’s scale.
Several posts on social media on Wednesday morning claimed that parts of Hyderabad also felt tremors in the wake of the seismic incident at Mulugu.
