The DigiDhan Mela organised in the city from January 18-19 has witnessed a footfall of about 55,000 visitors with about 20,500 transactions taking place in the last two days.Majority of the transactions included people coming for Aadhar-based transactions.
The mela saw about 82 stalls being set up out of which about 10 included online wallets, six from government organisations, seven were fertiliser and agriculture related stalls. The rest included public and private sector banks.

chairman Niranjan Reddy applauded the efforts of the State government.“Normally, melas are organised for just one day but due to great response from the State, the mela could be organised for two days with such great response. I would personally urge the State and the Central government to replicate this mela in all the cities and mandals of the State so that it reaches all the sections of the society,” informed Reddy.
The mela concluded by picking out lucky draw of 45 winners who will be given special prizes from the State.
