In Telangana, over 6 crore 50 lakh women in the state have travelled in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) for free of cost since the inception of the Mahalakshmi scheme a month ago. The corporation officials informed that 10 crore rupees worth of zero tickets have been issued every day with an average of 27 lakh women travelling per day. They informed this at a review meeting held at the state secretariat



in Hyderabad to the state deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar.

Asserting that necessary measures are needed to reinforce TSRTC, Minister Prabhakar said that discussions on alternative sources of income are underway, with a focus on areas like logistics, commercial, and other non-ticket income.
